I think the the white river flooding didn't help. When it got high I seen less elk. Rick

Rick, sorry you didn't connect...looks like you gave it heck!
I doubt you screwed up by leaving the 70rd alone... sounds like you hit some solid spots, and just didn't cross paths with the right elk. As you're well aware, it's hunting, not killing. Next time, brother!

Good effort and and a good attitude. I had the tag 2 years ago.
My thought is you want no snow or a lot of snow. Anything in between
