I use Bushnell "The Truth" Rangefinder. I love it for archery because it has the built in ARC. This is calibrated to your specific bow and shows how high your arrow will travel in a shot to make sure that you clear any branches. It works amazingly well and has all the extra features for angle compensation, etc. highly recommend it!

I have the leupold RX1000 TBR. It's quite a few years old now, and is very accurate. Get good reads out to ~500-600 yards, but it gets spotty beyond that unless you have a large flat rock or a pickup to aim at. It also does not give the fastest reads, which can be very frustrating. As others have said, if I could do it all over, I would go with the Leica. I have used a couple buddies and you point and shoot and it gives you an instant response. I have read out to 700 yards in CRP, which blew me away. It is in another class.

I have a Leupold and really like it.  Have to admit though, after looking through a Leica my buddy had a few years back, I would pay the extra $$ for it if I ever need mine replaced.
Look man, some times you just gotta roll the dice

Off topic, but Leica can't be beat.  Buy once cry once theory would apply here.

I have the Leupold 1000tbr mainly because I like the led vs LCD display, easier for me to see in low light. Even the red LCD nearly disappeared in the background, forget black or gray. Leupold is fast repair if needed.
