Hornaday has released the leverevolution components
« on: January 21, 2009, 10:09:24 PM »
I see that hornaday has released the lever evolution bullet for personal reloading, has anyone tried these with feedback? My father inlaw loves his 30-30 but just got a 270 and now wants me to load some test rounds for the 3030.

I have some on the truck from Midway.  I'll tell you in a week or so if my 30/30 likes them.

My Dad and I took his 30-30 out a few weeks ago and they did awesome.  By the time we left his group were touching at 100 yards.  Pretty impressive for factory ammo.  I havnt seen what they do to an animal but Im sure its similar to other polymer tips from Hornady.

Well I posted a pic of the deer I shot this year with them,  it is on the deer hunting topic under kansas whitetail.  here is a link to more pics on another site( I would just post the pics but I am at work)

my understanding is that hornaday uses a blended powder to achieve the velocity.  I might be wrong but I think this is a compressed load.  all I can say is "love them"
