Yes, it has always been "any deer" for late muzzleloader season. I posted about this change a couple months ago when the proposed seasons first became available. As I said in that post, I'm disappointed in a way, because I always liked having that option to take a doe late in the season. But on the other hand I'm glad they did it because in my opinion the deer numbers are way down, and there's no need to be killing does. I haven't decided yet, but I think I'll end up just going with a rifle tag instead of the muzzleloader this year. Might as well since does are no longer an option with the muzzleloader tag, and the rifle season is better since you get to hunt just before, and just after the rut.

Ya this is disappointing to me. Me and latter my kid brother and wife all went muzzy our first few seasons just for the late season doe opportunity. In my opinion it was a great way for young or new hunters to learn with closer range and better and more shot opportunities. I also liked it for years I couldn't get much time off work and wanted some good meat.
