FYI...without comment
Senate Bill 5588, sponsored by Senators Craig Pridemore (49th), Rodney Tom (48th), Ed Murray (43rd) (all Democrats) would
suspend
the Fish & Wildlife Commission through July 1, 2011
NEW SECTION.
Sec. 70. A new section is added to chapter 77.04 RCW to read as follows:
The following acts or parts of acts are each temporarily suspended until July 1, 2011: RCW 77.04.013 (fish and wildlife commission).
The bill was introduced on the 27th in the morning.
The first hearing was on the 27th in the afternoon.

Dunno.
Some folks here might consider it a "public service."
I just posted it FYI.

To save money, get rid of the Governor. I think it is more to stop hunting and fishing all together, then go for our guns.
I wrote a quick note to WDFW asking for some clarification on this bill.

Well me, I do not have any guns, gave away or sold them 15 years ago.

I emailed WDFW to ask about this bill. Here is my question and their answer.
"
Ms. Yeager,
If the WDFW is suspended from functioning then it would be safe to assume that hunting regulations will not be available and therefore no hunting or fishing until 7/1/2011, is that correct?
Thank you,"
Dear Mr. Lunatic,
You bring up a good point; however, this legislation has quite a ways to go before it would be considered for a final vote, let alone becoming effective.
The hunting seasons will be set by the Commission in April, and if passed, SB 5588 would probably not take effect until after that. Most bills take effect 90 days after passage, and this bill is still in early stages of development.
You may want to contact the committee where this bill is currently being debated. Call Aaron Gutierrez, Sen. Committee staff, for more information on the bill’s effect.

Again, I hope this information is useful.
It really sounds that if this bill passes we are screwed.
