Colockum Game Management Area?
« on: July 27, 2016, 02:40:38 PM »
Hey guys. I just got my GPS up and running and downloaded the new maps from HuntingGPSMaps. I specifically remember the Arthur Coffin Game reserve boundaries up there but for whatever reason, they aren't showing up on my map. In fact, it doesn't even mention the AC Game Reserve at all. (My old GPS with the chip DEFINITELY had the boundaries noted and the name of the area indicated). It now shows the Colockum Wildlife Management as being essentially the entire Colockum, including where the AC reserve is. My question is this: Is the Colockum Wildlife Management Area huntable or did they buy up all the land up there and close it off? Also, did something happen to the AC Game reserve or is it just not showing up on my map? This troubles me as the version I used to have had it listed on the maps and this is the updated version.

Nothing has changed as far as the boundary of the reserve, call your map supplier. Most of the Reserve is not in the Colockum Wildlife area, it is mostly surrounded by the Nanuem Ridge State Forest.

Thanks. I figured as much. I just downloaded the Garmin maps from the HuntGPSMaps and it's weird that it doesn't have the boundaries anymore. It did in 2013. The rest of the Colockum area that is not in the AC reserve is still good to go as far as hunting right?

My gps chip doesn't show AC game reserve either, wish it would and yea you can still hunt the rest of the Colockum area.
