My kid brother wants a set up to start making his own sinkers and jigs. Does anyone have any recommendations. Thanks for the help.

saltwater jigs or freshwater for salmon/steelhead?    I have some saltwater jig moulds that I won't use anymore.

For recommendations I prefer Do-It moulds and just about any electric pot.  It would need to be at least a 10 pounder.   Or if he's using a "turkey burner" a cast iron pot can be used to melt lead but he'd need good gloves and a long handled ladle.

I have a do-it mold and it works pretty good.  The one I got for jigs has a variety of sizes of jigs/hooks that can be used.  The nice thing about it is you can make all kinds of jigs from only having to buy one mold.  The drawback is if you want to pour in bulk of a certain size, it takes a long time.  I use a little non-electric pot and use the little coleman camping stove.  For lead, I went to a junkyard and ripped weights off tires and battery terminals.  It was a pretty cheap set up, but paid for itself in about two weeks of fishing.  I also like the powder paints by pro-tec.
