Ace...

Most public areas in Eastern WA are hunted hard..Hunt midweek if you can...less people also later in the season..

Decoys...use them if you can...don't feel like you have to use them.  If you for instance are on the edge of a field and you want to use one pace out what your effective range for you shotgun is and place decoy there.  Always be aware of where you place decoys for safety reasons you don't want to get peppered by another hunter..it happens.  There are always idiots out there.

When I am hiking around and calling I look for a big tree or somewhere that if I call and a gobbler answers I can sit right down and get ready...sometimes it happens fast.  Open fields aren't the best places to hide in...Look along field edges for points that protrude out into the field and set up at those areas or corners or travel areas.  Those Double Bull Blinds are sweet and they can hide hunters in fields that can't sit still.  Set blind up before hand So they are use to it...especially if it is in the open.

Remember the P rules...The best thing you can do is be PATIENT...move your eyes not your head, Turkeys have great eyesight and they can pick up you breathing...Be PERSISTENT...If the turkeys aren't working in the AM go back in the afternoon...  POSITION...Be at the turkeys level or slightly above when setting up to call him in.  PERMISSION is always important to gain before you hunt private land.

Also read other threads on here there is a lot of good info..

Good luck.

I always try to set my decoys at 20 yards out and about 6-8' apart. i have a jake and a hen. the decoys at 20 yards gives me a good reference for distance.
