Went to Banks yesterday for walleye and we caught a few trolling worm harnesses. It started out with me wearing everything I took along and ended up with me wishing I'd brought shorts. It was that kind of a day.
Anyways I got to test out a new filleting knife I'd bought the day before on a whim. I bought a Bubba filleting knife and it went thru the rib bones easily and then handled the skinning chore. I'll have to get it out of the boat today and see what the edge looks like. I think what made this knife feel better than the ones I've used in the past is the handle is bigger and "sticky". That made the cutting the fillets off a snap. In the past I've found walleye rib bones hard on the edge of a knife.
