I was thinking gas, probably a combination.
I was amazed how loud the case hitting the deflector is!

If you watch close enough you can watch the torque of the rifle canting to the right at each shot due to the right hand twist in the barrel. Thiose of us who have shot allot of large magnums or super magnums and I'm not talking 300 Winnies. Understand that due to the fact of loosing skin on our knuckles.
