Hello everyone. I just went through hunter education and I am looking for a mentor who is willing to trade education for a packing gear, hauling rocks, leather working/tanning or fishing trips.

Just a little background I come from an IDF family and have been in a competitive marksmen field since I was 13. I have been hunting as a spotter and as a pack mule. I also have gone through all the wilderness survival, tracking and skill trainings offered at the wilderness awareness school near Duvall.

I am also disabled with a degenerative nerve condition and I am autistic. I might not be the fastest guy but I can hump gear with the best of them. Since im autistic I have a condition where I don't naturally filter out senses like cars driving by or women with far too much perfume and so the woods were a refuge for me growing up. As a result I spent a good 3 days a week in the woods to get away from the sensory overload of the city. As a result I know how to track and the woods feel like home to me.

I am just finishing up my BA and work at a college so I now have the time to dedicate to learn to hunt. I have developed great respect for the black bears  over the years and have always wanted to hunt bear. However with minimal hands on hunting experience I need to learn to hunt from someone who has done it.

I am in western Washington near Bellevue. I am comfortable travelling and spending time in the field simply watching and learning. If anyone is willing to lend a hand please shoot me a PM and we can get coffee or a beer on me and see if you are willing to let me tag along. Thanks for your time.

Hey there and welcome to the forum! I'm going to find an email address for you, someone who arranges mentored hunts through wdfw. Keep asking questions on the forum too.
