Toutle youth cow tag
« on: November 22, 2017, 05:02:43 AM »
Hoping to get some ideas where to find a cow in the tootle unit.  My son and I have been scouting since we purchased the Weyerhaeuser permits and can’t seem to locate any elk.  Now two days into the season and still haven’t seen much fresh sign.  We have been hitting the timber and still not a single sighting of anything.  I’m not one to ask for help but I would love to atleast show him some elk.

Try the State patch where the 3000 road is, runs along the ridge between the forks of the river and goes up to the blast zone area.
I usually always see elk there
