Fall Teanaway Turkey - Wife got drawn
« on: October 03, 2017, 10:24:59 AM »
Hey all,

My wife was drawn for this tag, and is really excited to try and fill it. She has yet to harvest an animal after 2 seasons of deer/elk. I have never hunted Turkey before but have been practicing my calls to best help her.I have checked the WDFW website for land owner access and havent found any. We have blocked out 2-3 days to hunt during this early season. I have seen Turkey in Teanaway during non hunting seasons, but am not sure where to focus my efforts during the fall. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

I would start knocking on doors now, not impossible to fill the tag on public land but it will be hard. Your best bet is to have onX maps and find pockets of public land you can access boarding private. Best of luck!

Great idea, I've already got ON X and really enjoy their new layout on mobile and desktop.

Fall turkey hunting is all about nice fat table birds. Good luck.
