I have done this technique over and over again for grouse but has anyone tried it for chukar or quail? Just curious because it is so effective on grouse that are freshly shot and I want to try chukar/quail hunting for the first time this year.
Its mandatory with coots ( yea I know

) But you have to clean coots immediately to be edible. If you don't forget it. I mean like now not 30 minutes, not an hour but immediately. Lil milk soak, teriaki fry, few sesame seeds, yum good stuff.
