Nothing safe, even on private ground
« on: November 12, 2018, 08:08:54 PM »
Went to check stand, I sat on yesterday morning, for my kitsap quality tag. Arrived and looked around. Four Muddy stagger steps strapped to the cedar tree...... GONE.
Tree stand...... GONE. Go to Apple pile and guess what. Cuddle back E3 Blackflash cam....... GONE. (6) camo 500lb ratchet straps........GONE. And this is on my Private property. So if you see any good deal, let me know, Thanks, Matt

Sounds like you need to start focusing your hunting efforts on something other than deer. :twocents:

Possibly tweekers?  You'd think a hunter finding all that gear would get up in your stand and try to kill one of your mashers then maybe take a cam on the way out.  Seems like it would have taken several people to get all that gear out of  there quickly and without being noticed.  Apparently the drug trade has figured out that it's wise to move the ill gotten goods to a different area before posting it for sale online.  They must truck all that stuff around a bit.

Sorry that you have to suffer the mayhem.  I've lost three cams on one of my properties, and a Honda engine off a splitter on another.  Postings do nothing to keep trespassers out either.  I'm fully expecting to see my elevated blind flipped over one of these days, 'cause they sure as hell can't steal it.

Hang in there.  Don't let this crap ruin your season. Those bucks are still waiting for you.  Good luck!

Good idea.  It'd be hard to hang more gear out there without it.  Maybe a hidden cam or two aimed at your stand, or a likely parking area where they'd load the stuff up.  The price goes up and up.  >:(

And didnt Washington state just do away with the death penalty? Seems to me like they always want to ban what works well went implemented correctly.
