Good luck! A few good tips I got from Jakeland when I started out a few years ago. Rub the big piece of bloody beaver meat all over a large branch right above your trap before u wire it up for bait. And..if chance of theft is low, hang some flagging, a CD, cut up pie trays, anything that flutters in the wind for visuals.Pie trays and ripped up grocery bags seem to make some noise too if the wind is right
Put a strip of plastic garbage bag to cover the roof of the cage Cover the whole inside floor of itBrush it in really really good I like to hang a visual like a wing or something with some lure on it hanging above the cageUse castor and beaver or duck for baitAnd some patience Good luck !!

I think I need to cover my floors more. I just didn’t want to disturb the area any more than I have to.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Also think like a cat If a cat doesn't finish a meal he will stash it so make your cage completely covered all the way around he will try and steal the free meal from another cat. A little cat piss next to the trap helps and a walnut size piece of bait at the edge of the door too.ive never used a CD so I don't know about that .wht lure did you order?
I like the build of the trap. Looks well made.I like the construction of the sets. I wouldn't change how you are making the sets.I am not in love with the looks he sets. If you have seen cat sign there, say no more, good enough. Just based on the habitat though I would not be setting there. Not enough thick brush and the larger trees are shading out feed for small game. Pretty limited view I have though so maybe I'm not seeing what you are seeing.
