SCI scoring
« on: October 20, 2007, 09:12:21 PM »
I'd appreciate any info from someone experienced with SCI scoring of blacktail, or Boone and Crockett scoring system also.

 Thanks

You can go to the Boone and Crackett website and get a list of names and contact information of people who score.

I sent you a score sheet D-man to your e-mail.  Its Pope, but the system is the same as Boone.  Let me know if you have any questions and I can help you.

Thanks Doug. The question I had on the B&C electronic scoring sheet on their web site is that after you enter all the measurement's, the final score is like 40" less than the total of the measurement's? I'll try the form you sent and see if it works out differently.

i think thats the diff between b/c and sci.
b/c and p/y are not just a total of all the measurements, but sci is. i might be wrong, but thats kind of the criticism of sci
who really gives a fart anyway...you got a whopper of a blacktail.

SCI uses the gross score with no deductions. Just take your b@c measurements for the main beam , g-1,g-2,g-3,g-4, and the four mass measurements add em up, them add the inside spread. What you get is your gross and also the sci total. So on your g-2 (back tine) you take the tine measurement divide it by 2 and thats where you take you circumfrance there. Did tha help?
