I once watched an episode of the fishing show that Babe Winkerman (spelling) hosted.  Fishing big sturgeon on the snake, the guide told him that they sometimes hook a big sturgeon and then get in a float tube to fight it.  Winkerman was all in, and it was one of the funniest things I have ever watched.  That thing pulled him back and forth, side to side, forward and backward.  He was hollering something fierce.  Congrats on a beauty!

Looks like fun to me. I know on the lower Columbia they fish for them out of kayaks pretty regularly. One of these days I'll have the funds for a fishing kayak, and when I do it'll game on for a sturgeon sleigh ride.
