I own a 21FQS Mountain series.  I've had it for a year.  It's comfortable and has lots of storage.  Made in Oregon.  No complaints yet.

They’re made by northwood, who also makes Arctic Fox. I have a good friend who has one 2 years old and his family loves it.

Are you limited on nf roads because of length?
Have you come across any camp spots or nf roads that you were not able to access but if you had the 23-25 BHS length you would have?

Have a '16 Outdoors RV 23DBS - towed with a '14 3500 Duramax CC / LB.  Had in pretty tight spots with no issues in length.  Bought new from Thompson RV in Pendleton, OR March 2017.   

May consider selling for the right price.  Considering change from bumper pull to 5th wheel...

We have had it about a year and half, bought it up in Canada because ORV had quit making this model last year.  We have all the standard features that are BIG upgrades for this year.  We love the floor plan, have a 10 year old son that make the back top bunk his and has had his friends sleep on the bottom fold down bunk.  I have had my hunting buddy sleep on the bottom fold out bunk with no problems.  We love the room that this gives us and really have had no complaints.  I pull it with a 2015 3/4 ton crew cab GMC with the 6 foot bed and Duramax.  I get 19 MPG mixed hwy and city and 13 pulling the trailer full with 80 gallons of water up and over the passes.  I have not been in a spot that I couldn't park it, never had to go to find a different spot because I was to long.  I pull it up off the "paved road" and get back into some pretty steep stuff for our elk camp.  Just like with any trailer I'm not going to set any land speed records while I'm on gravel FS roads.

What is your floor plan, I looked at a 2019 model 27' BH a few weeks ago. Really liked it. Wish it was a bit shorter. The 27' one is only 3' shorter then my 31'

Sorry not California, Canada.  Mine is a 270DBHS not the 27BHS.  The difference is the bunks go across the back of the trailer, and there is a large door on the back side where the bottom bunk tilts up and gives you a TON more large item storage that can be loaded inside the trailer.

I have a 2014 outdoor rv creekside 23 foot. It has been taken seen 10,000 + miles in road trips that time. On the freeway for out of state hunts and in the mountains for camping, hunting, and fishing. I have had no issues.

Go with outdoor rv or nash. They have the two strongest frames and they have a solid frame not welded. They are made for taking off of asphalt. I went with outdoor rv due to the insulation for late season. I have had it out in -14 in Montana and 0 in Idaho and I just let the heater run on 60 degrees while I was out. The black, and grey water did not freeze or cause issues. The fresh water is inside under the couch in mine so it was fine as well.

I had a 2013 27dbhs. Had it for about three years. I have bought three brand new rv’s in the last 10 years. This one was the best built. It had the best insulation for sure. It is really big inside. I would still have it if I did not need a toy hauler. I liked that it set really high too. We camp in a lot of spots up *censored*ty roads. The ground clearance was great for this.

Trailer I have now it's to close to door way, we have to crawl into bed and the sides are kinda waisted

Plenty of room for a trailer and there is the outside shower if wanted..  The biggest plus is it has 80 gallons fresh water tank so you would almost have to try to run out of water.

Shower, it saves space, and you never take a bath when camping.
