If you could draw any one of the big 3(sheep, goat or moose) permits what one would you want and why?

I'll start.  I would love a sheep tag.  Not particular about any one unit, just would love to draw one and get a nice ram.

i'm gonna agree with you on that one, mainly because that is what i've seen the most of in this state. i see them regularly while flyfishing the yak. it's way too cool to be floating the river in my driftboat, catching wild rainbows on dry flies with bighorns watching me.

Of those three, I only apply for moose and sheep. The odds for goats just aren't good enough, and I'm not sure I would want to work that hard for a goat anyway. :D

There is no doubt in my mind I would take a moose tag over a sheep tag, even if it was antlerless only. Sheep are just too easy.

Your kidding right?

I never applied until last year for sheep as I figured they would be the hardest to hunt, then goat and moose being the easiest.

Billy, no I am not kidding. Hunting sheep in this state isn't much of a challenge (in the units I'm familiar with anyway.) Look at the harvest reports. Not that I'd turn down a sheep tag, I'd just much prefer a moose tag.

I would pick sheep.  I already have a goat from Ak and can always hunt moose at my cousin's place in AK.  Sheep tags are getting harder and harder to come by.

No, but I couldn't tell you how much we've got left. I don't ever get into the freezer, my wife does that. She cooks either deer, elk, or moose probably about every other night. Not even sure how much elk I've got left and that was from '05, but I think there's a little out there. Most of the time I don't even know what I'm eating. The moose we split 4 ways, between my dad, my uncle, my brother, and I. I think I'm due for a moose tag, with 10 points, sure would be nice to replenish the freezer next fall.

One down, two to go.  I'd rather get a sheep than a goat.

I think I would like to get a Goat. After seeing all those goats while helping with a elk hunting last year made me want to hunt them. The big billys were in places that looked scary from a mile and a half away.

I would say goat.  Since 1998 I've watched goats in the area close to where I elk hunt.  I know where there at and watch them every year. Thay are pretty fun to watch.

Sheep for me with out a doubt. It may be easy to take a ram in this state but to take a giant ram, aint so easy. Ive been on 2 sheep hunts in the Swakane and another in the Bighorn crags in ID. They are just a blast, someday I will draw a tag too.

I will take whichever they decide to draw me for! Any one of them would be fun and a new adventure.
