Sportsmans warehouse has select ruger Americans for $199. Picked one up in 270 today.
I've never had the itch for the American but for $200.. ?

Heck of a deal. I looked it up and it's only the 270 that's on sale. Weird. 30/06 costs $420, 270 only $200. At that price I really thought about getting one but I just don't need another rifle right now.

I happen to be close to the fed way store when I received their robo email. So I swung in there and bought one. Someone else was also buying one when I showed up.
After bringing it home and going over it I must say, I'm pretty happy with it. Decent 3 lug action with a factory barrel nut. I couldn't get a good action for this price. I think I'll let one of the kids hunt with it, then build something unreasonable out of it...

Another deal I'll throw out there.  Kentucky Gun Co has the TC Compass for $210 after $50 rebate.   I just ordered two of them in calibers I didn't already have.  Seem like good little rifles from what I've read and have a 1 moa guarantee too.
