Shameless, hopeless and hapless in Malaga
« on: December 23, 2018, 10:11:20 PM »
This is a shameless ask.

If there is anyone with any info or connections in Malaga that is willing help me fill a cow tag I’d be very grateful. I’ve put in a couple solid weekends with mixed results.

Thanks,

Al

Call the Wenatchee WDFW Office and ask to talk to Dave Volson (biologist) and see if he knows of any orchardist with elk problems...it's finally snowing up in the mountains above Stemilt so it might drive some elk down...

I wouldn't say shameless question. I'm sure some would assist.

The private ground holds the elk. Have you asked for permission from anyone?

I’ve talked to JoeB and MikeR, I’ll reach out to DaveV.

I haven’t asked for permission because I haven’t found any elk on private ground. Maybe that’s a mistake.

Rifle tag, runs through 12/31.

Merry Christmas All,

Al

Shoot not much longer. I know growers who have tons of elk on their land right now but not sure I can get in touch with them over the holidays. I will see what I can do

Any luck yet?
I was just getting ready to put a similar post up and saw yours. My dad and I have put in a ton of time trying to find a cow. Lots of bulls around and all the cows we’ve seen are on private land that won’t give access to anyone. We have access to some land up off Colockum rd and also some orchards down off Joe Miller but no luck there either. Fogged out quite often which makes it very frustrating.
Not trying to piggy back on your post but any info or help would be appreciated.
Thanks all and Happy New Year!!!
