Point defiance park

Has anyone fished from shore at the park? Will be the first time fishing the ocean like that have fished for surf perch out at ocean shores and have done very well, and tips tactics anyone could share? Can you catch any pinks from there? Any info would be awesome. Will be there this evening if not tomorrow. Thanks to all who can help want to get my son on a few fish doesn’t matter if there flounder perch or pinks!!!! Thanks!

Fish can always be caught from the dock at the boat house.

I've never fished from the shore up there but you can rent a from the boat house. I don't remember what the summer time rates are but I think it's around $150 for the day.

I know I've always done well bottom fishing 50-100 yards off Owen's beach; there's always plenty of sole fish out there to catch. I'll bet you could catch a couple from the shore too.

Thanks for the reply’s guys went out and fished for a little with no luck... literally fished like 5 minutes was after dinner and a lot of walking around in the sun and the boy was pooped! Next time we will go out just to fish, hoping possibly tomorrow!
