Sure alot of bowhunters standing on the side of the road up on the mountain.  They all have that look on their face and they are all right next to their trucks.  I thought it was a coincidence how many hunters I saw on or near the road last year when I went out to get our Christmas tree.  Then again this year.  Com'on boys, it helps if you get a little snow down the back of your neck. :)

I usually go elk hunting on Thanksgiving morning to get out of my wife's hair. No this year though.   I shot my 350+" bull on turkey day 2 years ago.  Stuck an arrow in him at first light had him quartered, packed out and back home just in time to clean up for dinner with the family.  :IBCOOL: Mmmmmmm.... fresh backstrap and turkey, it don't get any better than that!

Last year my camp did the Little Naches for the T Day hunt. 30+ inches of show on the ground and NO critters.  8 guys in our 16'x24' cook tent with way too much food and drink (burp).   :o

This year we set up in the Mossyrock area.We hauled our trailers up.Set up Tuesday afternoon and got home late last night before all the weekenders came up. With the full moon and clear cold sky deer and elk were feeding all night.Every thing stayed frozen all day. I didn't see any elk but alot of deer. I knocked an arrow 3 times on deer just to have them bound off. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr    no shots    :bash:

No traditions other than eating too much and feeling a little sick after dinner. The last several years I've gotten the green light to hunt Saturday/Sunday following turkey day. This year I chased elk with a bow instead of deer with a muzzleloader. I have nothing to show for my efforts, but am learning from my mistakes every time I go out.
