Caliber question
« on: April 19, 2009, 12:41:29 PM »
I will be hunting elk for the first time this year and intend to do it with my Contender pistol...maybe.  Do you think that either a .35 Rem. or a 7-30 Waters is big enough.  I have those two barrels or do I need something bigger?  Thanks..

.35 Rem is plenty big.  You'd better hit the range pretty hard in prep. for an Elk hunt a pistol.  .35 Rem will be more than enough at short distances but still has some reach out and touch em power.
A pat on the back is just shy of a kick in the ass..
