ATI or TAPCO
« on: June 05, 2009, 01:31:37 PM »
thinking about picking one of these stocks up for my mini-14. i don't have any "black guns" but thought one might be neat to play around with.

anyone with any experience with either of these 2?
i think i like the ATI and that is what ruger is building their factory tactical mini on now too.

I have not used the ATI but a friend has the tapco stock and hates it, says its flimsy, I shot the gun and didnt mind the stock at all. Thats not going to help much I guess :dunno: but there ya are.

I have neither of those on my Mini...but i like the looks of the ATI stock(appears sturdier)

And its a lil cheaper for basiclly the same product features.

Although I don't have a Mini-14, I have restocked my Hi-Point carbine with an ATI.  It wasn't a "drop-in" as advertised, but I evently got it to fit.  I also have an ATI forearm on one of my shotguns... fit/function is nice.
