nice bears 5-27-09
« on: May 27, 2009, 07:00:23 PM »
got some more bear pics. I think this one on the second cam is the biggest so far this year. I wish the bucks would come back. enough bears.

Cam 1

I think she is telling me something.

Cam 2. I put a old rotten cantalope out there to see what would happen. I went out today and it was just smashed. I don't think anything liked it.

looks like a big bear

busted. I think he found the camera.

i hear ya. i started having a few deer come in and then the bear showed up, and now no more deer. now, all i've got are birds and bears on my cam. i am planning on moving it to a different location, but i'll probably just get more bears. let me know if you find a way to keep the bears out and the deer and elk there.

That 'bear' looks like a pig in a bear suit.

One is set up on the edge of a clearcut and the other is on a trail coming out of the clearcut probably on the way to the thick bedding area.

I've found that wheat and rock salt will attract the deer and elk but not the bears.  Had this same problem when I was using molasses, corn, and salt I was getting pictures of all three and then just bears, until I switched to just wheat and salt now the deer and elk are back.

That looks like a perfect spot for a tree stand depending on the wind direction.  I do believe that is one of the most beautiful bears i have ever seen.  I cant imagine getting any better but maybe it is just the pics.  Great job man
