I hear they hang out in the fields between Snoqualmie and Northbend .  Also know there is no hunting on the valley floor in those areas either.

I guess they know where its safe.

oh yeah i know quite a few really good spots they hang out in during summer. but as soon as september comes they are no where to be seen.

but then again i guess that is the same for most areas.

the herd down by the golf course in northbend or is that considered the town of snoqualmie. anyway yeah its a really nice herd. about 6 branched antler bulls with 2 of them around 280 class bulls give or take a few inches. but they are big.

I bowhunt 460 for elk and it sure can be frustrating.  That herd at Meadowbrook is getting huge, that's the farm/park  that is partly in North Bend and partly in Snoqualmie.  There was one day last September that I counted over twenty three point or better bulls in there.  It's not uncommon to see a hundred or more elk grazing in there.

I forgot to add that a couple of guys in the group I hunt with actually tagged out with some nice bulls during Muzzleloader season.  If you heard of the story of the elk that went down in the Middle Fork of the Snoqualmie, that was my buddies elk.  It took a canoe, a wetsuit, and an assortment of miscellaneous tools to get it out.  It was quite comical.
