Hey, I got a shotgun for my wife.  And she loves it.

I might just have to go out there and help you out.  That sounds like fun.

I have spent the last 10 thanksgivings in the field, I just take sliced turkey from the deli and the fixin's and go. I have been hunting myself for 3 yrs. this yr. makes 4. I would rather go hunting then a family dinner with all the family drama. Send you wife on her own little mini vacation,(something she likes to do) maybe that would help. Last yr. I spent 9 days in a camp trlr. in the grayback unit for thanksgiving. This yr. I'll be spending 9 days including thanksgiving in the unit I just got drawn for. Happy Turkey day:) hope it goes well for you.(mini vacation for the wife)

The deer season in WI falls over the week of Thanksgiving.  Me and my pa missed a lot of Thanksgivings.
