What does a guy need and needs do to get in the $20,000 dollar bracket.
Anyone out there willing to guide and teach some of the basics?

Yes, to get to the top 20 ($20k range will get you there) in the PM program, you are pretty much going to fish every day for 5 months.  Some guys do a lot better (look at the top 20 on the website).  I would say that going out and having some fun catching fish and making a few hundred $$ in a weekend is probably the more realistic target.  My son fished the program hard as soon as he turned 16 and could drive.  Did very well for himself once he figured out where the big schools lived and could target them.  He did that for 5 years or so and it paid for his new boat and his F250 (older one of course).  He's now targeting the walleye, as they have taken over a lot of the typical Pike Minnow areas.  Sure, he doesn't get paid for the walleye, but they sure eat good!  LOL
