Another crippled WT fawn crop here, eight mature does in the last few days, one fawn.  It is surely a combination of things, predators, more swathed forage crops, winter, EHD and more.  My normal three WT bucks this AM, looking good.  A new twist, six mule deer, skinny little doe and five bucks one of which is decent.  This is a trend, have probably seen a dozen in the last decade here and add six this AM.  Probably more MD just south of us than WT these days.  Numbers continue to be down with some impressive individuals.  Been watching for many decades and always interesting.

I'm just starting to get WT fawns on cams.
And yes ,not every doe has a fawn . As some biologists will have you believe that it's 99 percent reproduction rate.
Not every doe gets breeded ,many fawns are ate before they can walk. Seen a few fawns laying by the highway just after the fourth.

Then you have the ....why🤔
Mid-summer fawns, why are they born so late debate.
