It's that time of year.  Where is your go-to place for procuring the Christmas roast beast?

QFC has a special but it's going to be too small.  And limit 1.

Look up 3 Pines Holiday Prime Rib rub. Easy to assemble. Suggest, pat it on vs rub it on. You get a more even covering.

:yeah: no comparison to a grilled or cast iron seared ribeye to a hot rare flavorless prime rib chunk of meat.

If you buy it at Safeway, check your receipt and make sure you got the correct price.  Luckily we did and caught the $38.00 when their automated system didn't do all of the things correctly.  Customer Service fixed it but we all know how fun it is to stand in that line with someone behind you complaining about how long you are taking.  :tung:

Good call.
When I go to Safeway, I would say that their sale prices do not register at checkout about 50% of the time. I sometimes wonder if they do that on purpose.

If they're flavorless you're not doin em right!  :chuckle: Did a 15 pounder this weekend that was a show stopper. 48hrs dry brine, then another 18 in the sous vide and flame finished on a hot charcoal grill. Unreal flavor throughout and cooked to perfection. I do agree it's hard to beat a good steak but man that roast was killer! no au jus required

I think most stores are like that. I held up the self checkout at FredMeyers the other day till I got the advertised price, there coupon system sucks.

You act like a man would buy a 10lb prime rib just for him with no sides or drinks. Grab some potatoes and green beans and make an actual meal.
What country can preserve it's liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon & pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots & tyrants.

I found some full subprimals at the Chef's Store.  I know that Costco carries them as well, but I avoid that place.
