Starting to feel like I might have a 2A violation on my hands

I am pretty sure Washington Gun Law can handle your needs. Not going to be cheap though.

Similar thing happened to a co-worker, him and his ex got into a disagreement then she went and said some stuff that got his guns taken away. No charges ever filed so he called the place that has his guns every moment of free time and stopped by all the time. Also asked to speak with a supervisor and kept being a pain in their ass. I think it took about a month. Sorry your in this situation and hope you get your gear back soon.

Welcome to the Red Flag laws. Based on a simple accusation they can and will temporarily confiscate your firearms. Had this happen to a co worker even before the Red Flag laws. With some of the most recent legislation, once they confiscate it, don’t you have to go through the whole NICS background check?

I've seen this a few times.......if it escalates to the police coming to your home and guns get mentioned......say goodbye to them. The police will remove them in the interests of public safety and to avoid the consequence of them being used against a spouse, even if it is a total setup by the aggrieved spouse. If you find yourself in this situation and your spouse is using your interest in guns against you....read the tea leaves and remove the guns from the home and consult a divorce lawyer. If a spouse does this, be aware that they have set you up for a possibly dangerous confrontation with law enforcement, responding to a domestic situation that the police know is possibly dangerous. This situation isn't going to play out as a violation of anyone's 2A rights......if there is conflict between two parties, the police will regard it as a matter of protecting the complaining more vulnerable party. If your goal is to protect your 2A rights, don't get into an angry conflict with a spouse if you have guns in the house.

Just amazing to me that so many folks get in verbal / physical conflicts with their loved ones.  I've seen it with my folks many years ago and it was always as a result of alcohol.  Having been married for 27 years, I just don't understand why you would fight with someone you (supposedly) love.  Then you add the fact that a loved one would red flag another, means the relationship was not going well in the first place.  My guess is there is more to the story....  If not, warning signs were there long before the loved one turned you in.   If you are legit and you have no fault, I hope you get your irons back.  I'm 100% against gun confiscation.   What's more sad than a firearm getting taken away from someone.....is the fact that you all argued to the point cops were involved.  Better off to just walk away guys!!

I'm not judging at all.....  Just stating facts and hoping folks that read this post understand that warning signs usually exist long before it gets to this point.  I tell my son and daughter all the time.....arguing with boyfriends / girlfriends is not OK and if that is what the relationship is based on end it IMMEDIATELY.  So many folks want to normalized this behavior and it never ends well.  Just to be clear....I'm not suggesting folks shouldn't have dissagreement / conflict....but conflict to the extent LEO is involved is crazy (to me anyways).

Work mate with intense military experience and was still a reservist had a wife that called the cops on him after an argument. In discussions we had over a few years I got the impression she really liked creating drama.
He ended up getting 'dead by cop' after it escalated when they showed up and demanded his arms. It made the news when it happened.
I often wonder if she regrets that action, with having to raise their kids on her own without him? I also wonder how the kids will view it when they get old enough to start thinking about it?
Just sad all the way around for everyone, cops, wife, kids, him.

Had another friend who's cheating (proven) ex wife called the cops WHILE HE WAS AT WORK saying she (ex) felt in danger because he had guns. This was in retaliation after he would not take the ex back and he got a live in girlfriend. The cops came to his house and he told his girlfriend (live in) to let them in and just make sure they documented everything. This was while he was standing next to me at work. He took off for home right after.
It took him about two months to get everything back. I am sure they were drooling over some of his equipment as it was all top drawer stuff!

Had this happen to me once over a scorned lover in my early 20's... I was an idiot for storing some guns at her house... She insisted I did... "Cause it made her feel safer"... But then they showed up to my house to take the rest off some bs she told them... Didn't work like that without a warrant... She knew she wasn't the only one I was seeing and got pissed off drunk one night... I got them back in about two weeks after she didn't show up at the court for the temp no contact order hearing... I told them how much bs this was and the judge dismissed the protection order and released my arms... Recommended I cut all ties with her... I did... She still tried to show places where I was or where she thought I would be and people would let me know... See her driving by other peoples places looking for me... Several other ladies cars got keyed and threatening notes left on their vehicles... This went on for about a year and a half and they wouldn't grant me a protection order but gave her one and took my guns at her place and tried to get mine at my house the second she cried wolf...
I love you... I really do...

If you're still in Anacortes... Bradley Johnson, Puget Law Group, and Russell & Hill... I'd go with Bradley 33 years experience or Russell & Hill with 21... Puget is a baby with only 13... But rights restoration cost about $2k today... A friend just did it in Kitsap with a different attorney... You have to use an attorney registered in that county... If your's is only temporary at the moment do a consultation and go from there... You will not be eligible to get your guns back while the protection order is in place if it is considered a domestic partnership... Get the temp order dropped... Get your guns back... Get the consultation...
I love you... I really do...

Thank you everybody for the input

There is nothing stopping me from going to the store and buying more

I have zero restrictions

I'm just having an issue getting back what they have- more or less they're dragging feet...
