So cool how they do their draw, live and you get to see possibly your name bouncing around on the screen. Wa needs to do this in my opinion.

really?? That whole draw system is Chinese to me but your number from what I do understand is really good??!! Good luck buddy!!

We will see, I was watching it live and was way off on all the other species. I was only 18,000 off 4 years ago and didn’t get it but under 10,000 I think is good. Only less that 300 people applies last year for the unit, that is a 34,000 so I should be in the running.

I'm about 100K above the elk tag seed #. Thought i had a chance at the random but after all the guides get there tags out of the NR pool, there isn't much to go around and i think i will be on the outside. Few more years and i should draw the tag with points.

I'm way above the seed number on all my apps except antelope, so it's going to be OTC western Oregon deer and elk for me again this year.  And I'm kicking myself on the antelope choice, as had I put in for one of my usual choices I may have drawn in the 25% random pool (more tags, less applicants in those units).  But no, this year I decided to put in for the hardest draw assuming I wouldn't hunt antelope.  Darn it.

I think you have a real good chance! 9,999,999 possible application numbers divided by 287 applicants. Means a distribution of about 34,800 between applicants. So statistically the first and only tag given out should be with 34,800 places of the seed number.

Of course that's going off a lot of assumptions and with only one tag being given all it takes is one other person being closer and your out. But I would still be very hopeful and not surprised if you get it.  Good luck!!

Yes thanks, I have been doing all the math When I was at 18,000 away a few years ago I learned there were 3 people ahead of me so that was pretty crazy, just depends on the random app numbers that are given.
