Looked at the 10 day forecast and was relieved to see that it cools off for laborday weekend and early next week. Actually in the 60's on the west side and high 60's low 70's on the east side where I hunt. I hate hunting when it is 85 degrees. The weather forecast actually got me a little excited as I have been anticipating it being hot with the summer we had. Even the chance of rain is a blessing, will quiet the woods a little. The forecast was a lot better than I expected. Have a great season. Mike

Definately!  Scouted this weekend and it was fairly warm and dry, but nothing like last year's 90 degree weather.  Rain would be great.  The moon is looking a bit full right now and I'm afraid we may end up with a near full moon again come next week's elk opener.  Bummer.

hopefully the elk use the moon phase the same as a deer but i doubt it, i hope it pours down rain. i dont think weyco will open there land anyway.

Yeah hot sucks, I am sitting on top of a mt 5 mi from Canada 73 deg still! Ugh I beleive about 2 days in advance , I will believe it when I see it.

Hell yeah.  Plus it's supposed to rain all weekend which means it will keep most of the hikers and hippies out of the woods on labor day.  That means come Tuesday I will have a bunch of unstressed elk all to my self up in the Alpine.     BRING ON THE RAIN

Rain this morning in Eburg (on my hay that I just picked up last night - &%*#!).  Anyway, was really disappointed I couldn't get out this AM and give it a try for a buck.  Should've been pretty good starting at about 8.
