Nice looking bulls!

Our family and friends used to hunt Manastash every year. We last Elk hunted there around 1986. We used to camp right where Whiskey Canyon rd. came down and hit the North Fork Road. Last time I was over there, you couldn't even get up the North Fork and Whiskey Canyon Rd was blocked off.  :bash:

You can see the deer to the right of the bull in the top photo, but is there another deer to the left of the bull also? Those are some really nice bulls.

Nice Bulls! That one looks like a 7x7!! Sweet.

That bottom bull was that low. You can see the elk fence just below the hunter. I cant belive a bull that size was that low this early. Nice job to the hunter!! One day I will draw a tag!

Thanks guys , We really hunt hard and I have blisters to prove it , I must have covered every inch of that area down low and saw atleast a dozen bulls 5 points and better , I hunted a 6x7 out in the sage that had real good tine length and ok mass had himat 100 yards three times . Hooked buckblaster up one a good spot , i hope he doe's the rifle tag justace.I killed that heavy bull at 11.15 am  down low . I know there's still three or four good bulls in there , not very many cows this year kinda wierd.

Spent alot of time as a kid and into my 20 trompin around in the Manastash. Always had a big group over there during elk season. Hunted Hutchenson, Yahne canyon, Tamarack springs area. Great memories but haven't been back since a cousin decided to blow his brains out over there in 91 . Wouldn't mind going back if it weren't a spike only area.
Nice job on the elk :brew:

Good job Coach did you guys have much bugling action? We did not here a bull past 8:30 a.m. Then 5:30 till dark. We did not see many cows. The herd bulls only had a few cows with them.

man, nice animals. Hope you saved some for me. My dad and I drew the big bull tags for rifle season in those two units. Can't wait for it, goin to set up our camp in week and half. Be there for deer on thru till elk season is over. Ill be in a silver lifted dodge truck with some stickers in back window, or in my dads red jeep wrangler. I broke my jeep wheelin few weeks ago.

Elk,

I got a buddy with a muzzleloader bull tag for up there, he's probably going to be on top.  Are you guys past the old cattle guard or before it?  Been through there a lot, thought I'd stop by next time i'm through there to say hi.
