For those having trouble at work, my thoughts are with you and hopes are for a speedy upturn in the economy.
I personally won't make it either as my truck suddenly began having some issues. ABS light is staying on, speedometer not working below 35 mph and the light for the overdrive on the shift lever is flashing. Don't want to risk driving out in the woods and having more issues....

I will get out for about 1/2 a day on Sunday. Other than that, my hunting season is shot. With the new job, and mandatory overtime, I am working about 60 hours a week. Not complaining, just wishing I could be out with the guys, knocking over some animals.
Good luck to all who get out tomorrow and the rest of the season. May you have the eyes of an eagle, and shoot as straight as an arrow. GO GET EM GUYS!!!!!!!!
Oh, and remember to post TONS of pics for us that will not be making it out much if at all.

flashover....do you have a ford truck? My F150 had the same thing with the overdrive light flashing.
Wouldn't do it all the time and eventually stopped doing it.
Still don't know why.

flashover52 , if its a ford, its probably your speeed sensor. if its a superduty, its usually mounted on top of your rear axle. it should be safe to drive. i know of people who kept driving theirs and it didnt hurt anything. sometimes it will go away. you can try pulling the sensor and cleaning it. or you can buy a new one from napa for like $20. i hope this helps.
im stuck workin on my house all weekend. i have a deadline to meet, and have 4 weeks to get it finished completely... first time missing the opener for me.

Hope those missing it get to go out soon enough.
I missed first, last and a weekend in the middle of elk season. Wasn't too happy about it, but thats how it goes sometimes.

Looks like me and my son are going to have to wait until next year. Some things came up and money got real tight real quick.
I guess I can't really miss it when I've never done it, but some venison sure would have been nice.

I'm very fortunate to have a job and too am working this weekend. Been a long time since I missed the opener but hopefully I will be able to get out later this year. Got the multi season tag and don't want to waste it. Good luck to all the guys and ladies going out this weeknd!

Bought my wife rifle tag and she changed her mind to go with girls horses ridding in wood with out me! Dang.. Maybe tomorrow or during the week
No biggie! but I end up stay home all day working on our home To get prepared for Winter Storm. What a boring day! Rainny Rainny totally UGLY! Clean Gutter, picking up all stuff around outside the house and put everything away in Garage, Shop, etc etc, for winter. Saw G.W. driving by our property and out TWICE today!
Hopefully he caught some kids!

Missed Sat and will miss most of Sunday because the wifes family decided to have a girls day on Monday. Luckily got a place to stay in Coeur D'Alene. I will get an oppertunity to hunt sometime this next week over by Spokane. Now just got to find some places. I was planning on hunting here in SW Wash but with these new plans that went out the window.
Good luck to all.
