I live in eburg and check around every once in awhile. Not a whole lot of activity right now but come next weekend I bet there will be allot of elk to be found. Talked to the regional bio on thursday and he said there are some out around venture farms. I am not sure if you can get out there but if you call Steve Keisel (sp?) he may be able to get access for you.

Ya I wanted to give that unit a try but discovered you have to have an east side tag for it.

There are quite a few Master Hunters watching and hunting 3911.  That said, some get elk.  It's mostly a matter of timing, or gaining access to private lands (isn't that true of all hunting?)

Crunchy is correct: you need an eastside elk license to hunt 3911.

This hunt is a band-aid, that hasn't worked and wont ever work.

What hunts do as advertised. To the hunter it works if you tag one.

Just saying the purpose of the hunt is to keep the elk out of the agricultural areas to help save the WDFW money in paying out money to damaged crops.  This hasn't worked and every year the WDFW pays out more and more money.

I'm not saying get rid of the hunt.  Use it as a supplemental tool.  What is really needed is to put in an elk fence.  Amazingly enough the Colockum does not have an elk fence.

There not making that much money on master hunters. its only 25$ dollars every 5 years to renew and thats for a background check. Puts elk in my freezer living so close to the yakima areas and 3911.
