hey first off hi. first post on the board. what do you guys think of the Thompson center fire hawks???? i really want a big 58 cal and there one of the only bolt 58s i have ever seen. is $300 a good price for a never fired.???

The fire hawk looks like it is legal.  I have the the TC Black Diamond it is awsome, it works so well all my buddies have bought the same gun.

I was looking into this as well..Don't know anyone who has one though..Whats interesting is all the docs on this only mention the .58 in passing, guess the .50 and .54 we more mainstream..Looks to be the early version of the Black Diamond,,with nice wood stocks..1:38 twist so its between a Hawken and the newer rifles..

Price seems about right for those I've see listed..especially if its never been fired, NIB..But thats an opinion, I recently saw a brand new BD XR for 319.
