Thanks you guys!   These were taken a couple weeks ago Alec.  I am just getting to process them now.  I took several thousand pictures of just short of 500 bucks, ALL in Washington.  It was a fun month.

Jeez bone, that many bucks!  Nice job, that does sound like a fun time, I hope there are more pics to come!

It was a real good time.  The bucks were harder to scrape up this year, especially in the wolf zones.  I have some elk shots still and hopefully more deer pics.

Hey Bones,
I've been enjoying your pics the last several months lurking.

Question for you. How cropped are your photos? I'm assuming that your taking these photos further then 20 yards away though they appear that close in your photos. If you are taking these at 100 plus yards like I assume what kind of lens are you using to get such close up with such clarity? I'm still pretty amature on my photos and even my 5.0mp 10x kodak wont let me crop anything past 50 yards with any clarity.

Can you enlighten me?

Thanks

Well top, alot of these pics are under 35 yards.  Most are under 50.  Some of my methow buck shots were alot farther away.  I shoot a 400mm lens.  Sometimes It has a 1.4 multiplier which works pretty good still with it and sometimes I have a 2x.  Its not as good and the pics are pretty grainy.

the topic too close, the buck was actually too close for a pic and wouldn't even focus. This particular topic they werepretty darn close.  I managed to work my way right in the middle of them.  The snort wheezing was pretty cool and there were ,multiple bucks working multiple does with multiple satellite bucks.  One of th eproblems I have always had with my camera is what I call compression syndrome.  I reduce a photo from huge megapixels down to 600x800 and you can see it in th elines like the bones.  The full sized version is even clearer.    Thanks for the compliments

Very nice. You seem to have no trouble finding good bucks.
