looking for all kinds of suggestions here so let em fly. I hunt with my dad who is about 60 and has had a couple of back surgeries. he has hunted elk for over 20 years and never got one. he has helped a few people get em and pack em out but has never taken the shot himself. This year he let me take the shot. I consider him a pretty good hunter and he has taught me alot, but it has never worked out for him to get the shot first. Now he is starting to slow down physically due to his back and can't hike as far as we use to. We will both probably be moving to montana in a few years (3-5) and I would love for him to get a decent roosevelt elk before we go. We usually hunt around st helens and see alot of elk, mostly cows or smaller bulls. The lack of big bulls could be due to the fact that he can't hike as far now. Ok, here is the question, if you had to pick a unit to hunt in for a reasonable bull, with limited physical ability where would you go? If you were going to pay for a guided hunt for a reasonable roosevelt with limited physical ability who and where? We have hunted rifle for years but switched to archery last year so both are an option. We also have about 8 points now and trying to decide what unit to put in for considering the factors. Not looking for any honey holes and I know that the lack of hiking puts a limit on the type of quality bulls you see but I would appreciate hearing ideas. Thanks
