Finally going to hit the river!
« on: February 18, 2010, 09:57:14 PM »
Well things have been very busy lately with work and buying a new house over the past 6 weeks. Finally I get a saturday off so I'm going stealheaden!! The last time I was out was Jan. 9th I took my sled out on the Chehalis around porter area and hooked a buitifull bright 13 - 15 lb stealhead on eggs and since I was by myself I had to try and net it by myself and ended up losing it at the boat :bash: :bash:, I'll tell you what I was almost in tears. :'( A week before that on new years day my brother caught a nice little 10 lb hatchery almost in the same spot. So I personally love fishing the Chehalis because there is not nearly as many boaters as other rivers so I'm going there this weekend. Since I've been out of the loop for the last 6 weeks or so has anyone herd any reports on the chehalis? Is the run at it's peak right now, from past experiances it should be pretty hot.

There should be some fish around. There were 5-6 boats at the porter launch this afternoon. Good luck
