Concealed weapon reciprocity
« on: February 23, 2010, 03:57:44 PM »
In reading a post about traveling to yellowstone and concealed carry, the word Reciprocity is used but is not always a two way street as it may seem. Sure wish at least our surrounding states could get it together.
Not much help to have reciprocity several states away and none in between.

Click on your 3rd link where it shows Montana highlighted on a US map.  Then click on Washington and you'll see both Idaho and Montana honor Washington's permit.  I think that is right?

this is a great one that shows what states your permit will work in and what ones it won't hope this helps.

I was told that as well when I recently renewed my concealed carry, that Montana and Idaho honor Washingtons permits, but Washington does not honor Idaho's but they do honor Montana's. :dunno:
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.

My point is WA does not honor very many states. Oregon does not honor any.

Washington concealed pistol licenses will be recognized in the following states, and concealed weapons licenses issued in the listed states will be recognized in Washington State, so long as the handgun is carried in accordance with Washington law.

Arkansas
Louisiana
Michigan
Mississippi
Missouri
North Carolina
Ohio
Oklahoma
Utah

Just be careful when in states that have reciprocity with Washington that you don't carry within 1,000 feet of a K-12 school.
