Taken a deer and a elk in the same day?  Curious...I've heard a few rare stories.

there is a few guys on here that have done it. i hunted with a youth hunter this year my cousin by marriage little bro drew a cow moose tag and we took the muzzle in case we got one since we were going to be there for a week  and elk was open he got his cow moose with the rifle about 30 mins into the hunt then shot a cow elk with a muzzle when we got back out from taking care of the moose with about 45min of light left. that was a day.

Unless it was a trophy or right off the road I would be very upset if someone did that in my hunting party.    Getting an elk out is hard enough without throwing a deer into it.
