Bipod Adapter
« on: April 10, 2010, 11:32:56 AM »
I've got a Browning BAR that I bought new a couple years ago, and recently looked into getting a bipod for it.  Unfortunately, I realized that I can't mount a bi pod without installing an adapter because the swivel stud comes out the end of the stock right under the barrel rather than the bottom of the stock.

I plan to use a Harris bi pod, and have found that they sell adapters for rifles.  I'm looking at the Harris 6a adapter.

Does anyone know a quality gunsmith that could install this for me? I believe it would require more work than I would want to do on my own, assuming that the little plate that the mount is on is mounted down inside the wood.

Appreciate it!
