Fragrance Lake near Bellingham?
« on: May 13, 2010, 09:51:16 AM »

Howdy all,

Me and a buddy are thinking about heading up there this weekend.  It is in Larrabee State Park, East of Lake Samish.  Looks like we would have a two mile hike in.  My question is has anyone fished this lake before?  It looks way beautiful but the question is can we fish it from the bank?

Then if you have fished the lake from the bank... what was working for ya?   :chuckle:

Thanks,

jg

Public Fishing Allowed? Yes
Ranking: 3 - Fair
Comments: We have gone fishing here twice now. I think we needed to come up a little bit earlier. You used to be able to drive up Cleater Rd, park and do a short hike to the lake, now you have to park farther away if you park on Cleater Rd. All I got today was a little nibble. There are fish in the lake... there were plenty jumping... you just need a good little float to go out and about to places where you cant drop a line from the shore.

Ah... thanks littlemac!  That's a big time help.. We will have to pick up a float I think.  I have waders but will be good to have a float it sounds like.  Plus it will make it more fun.  :)
