Hornseeker.  What's the full story on this?  Did you run across the drag marks while hiking, hunting, scouting?   What were you thinking when you saw the drag marks?  Thanks for the post.  Good work

They are gonna have to raise the limit on those damn things pretty soon. That is if we want to keep deer and elk around for the future! I saw two last year. They are cool, better dead though :twocents:

I was walking around looking for sheds...when yeah...i stumbled on the drag mark... took me about 1.2 seconds to realize what it was...then while following it I saw a track or two so knew for sure.

I had to follow it about 250 yards...through head hi sage brush and big, bushy juniper...was a tiny bit nervous, but not enough to worry much. I actually tracked it the wrong way first and found where the kill took place...then tracked it back, "just" past where I started...and found the half buried kill....

Watched my back pretty good while hanging the cam, but having been in the kitty woods forever and ever and have never had a prob.... wasn't too worried.... but "aware" nonetheless! :chuckle:

Thanks for sharing.  I'm sure all of us the spend any amount of time hanging out in the wilderness have been close to a cat.  I would have to check things out like you did.  I like that you had enough wits about you to hang a trail cam!

Should have put a grenade under the kill for the kitty when it came back. Would have made a cool trail cam video.

I've see one cougar in the woods.... and it was long gone after it saw me. I hear they've attacked people before but I'm guessing it's rare unless they are extremely hungry?
