How bout pics of camps with animals hanging, showing off, etc
« on: August 25, 2010, 07:25:48 PM »
I drive by camps after a long day of hunting looking to see if camps have anything,  Always fun to look at.

Any pics to show this,  animals in camp or showing off in camp, etc

yeah carpsniper, but we have the bear boards around the meat, so no issues.

Norse - have the outfitters up in Alaska tried the portable electric fences; similar to what folks might pack in for a setting up a small horse area?

There was a show on the other night about a Grizzly rescue place in Montana and the guy has his 800+ lb grizzly test gear for people. One of the things they tried was putting a big old cake by a tent that was sorrounded by one of those small fences. The grizzly wouldn't go near it. In fact, they introduced two of the bigger male grizzlies in a larger pen but had them seperated by using two fence lines. Niether would go near the fence.

Apparently their sense of smell can pick up the electrical currents or something and they just assume stay away.......

Wondering if those fences are being used up in Grizzly country.

It sucks to have to shoot the cow standing next to the bull but sure tastes good.  One of these I posted somewhere else.
