Ravens
« on: September 24, 2010, 09:15:07 AM »
First off I know it's illeagal to hunt them and I didn't. The crow thread got me thinking of this day

Was out last year yote huntin with the fx5 and rabbit decoy. Within a couple mins two ravens come in circleing the decoy. After a min or so I turned off the caller they circled a couple more times and headed for the timber about 200 yards away. When they almost made the timber I turned the e-caller back on and they made a quick u turn came and started circleing again. After a moment or to I turned off the caller again and they headed back to the timber. They were like yo yo's on a string  :chuckle:. After about 6 or 7 times they quit comming and I had some cheap intertainment.  BTW no dogs ut had a few laughs.
Hey! I'm not a complete idiot I have parts missing. Though sometimes I wonder.

If you want to make God laugh tell him your plans.

not uncommon.  me and gutpile get ravens and crows coming into our stands depending on where we are at.  its not uncommon they are opportunistic feeders and a dying rabbit or what not is just as tastey to a raven as a crow.  location seems to dictate more of wheather youll see a raven or a crow.
