Thanks all. He had a lot of blacktail in him. All of the other deer in the area looked to have mule deer tails, but he had a big bushy black tail. Not sure how much their "tail appearance" has to do with their antlers. As far as the European mount goes, we'll see when I skin the head out. It may be too busted up to do that with. That is the ONLY problem I can see with head shots, being a semi-expert on it these days.  :chuckle:

Nice work! Great looking deer even if his jaw is a little off  :dunno:. No wasted meat and a notched tag....tough to beat  :IBCOOL:.
